Richard Arnold from Good Morning Britain surprised everyone in the studio with his bold forecast regarding when Meghan and Harry will split up.

Good Morning Britain took a cheeky swipe at Meghan Markle after the launch of her latest Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.

The former actress turned Duchess introduced viewers to her lifestyle tips, including a rainbow fruit platter she prepares for her children on weekends.

While the concept was meant to inspire, many viewers found the idea overly simplistic—and the breakfast show’s presenters couldn’t resist having a little fun with it.

GMB’s Playful Take on Meghan’s Breakfast Idea

During a segment on Good Morning Britain, entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold took center stage with his own attempt at a rainbow platter—but instead of vibrant,

freshly cut fruit, his version included an unpeeled banana, browning apples, and a sprinkle of cornflakes.

As the show played a clip from Meghan’s series showcasing her meticulously arranged breakfast for her children,

the camera cut back to Arnold, who was grinning as he gestured toward his less-than-appetizing version of the dish.

“Here’s one we made earlier,” he joked, unveiling a haphazardly arranged platter that looked far from the Duchess’ polished creation.

The chopping board was filled with cubed apples, grapes, and prunes, and Arnold, clearly amused by the moment, admitted:

“This is why I never do a cookery show.”

He continued his playful criticism, sarcastically pointing out that the grapes on the plate had been “reliably informed” to be washed and that he doesn’t “normally have to peel his own bananas.”

Adding to the humor, he referenced Meghan’s inclusion of dried flowers in her fruit platter, cheekily remarking that he had not gone that far with his own version.

As he concluded the segment, Arnold held up the plate and quipped:

“And there you have it, from Dickie, With Love.”

The studio erupted into laughter, with co-host Susanna Reid chiming in:

“In the old days, it used to be called a fruit salad.”

Meghan’s Vision Behind the Rainbow Platter

In With Love, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex explains that she enjoys making a colorful fruit arrangement to bring joy to her children’s mornings. She emphasizes that the small act of preparing meals with care is part of her approach to being a present and engaged parent.

“It’s a real delight in being able to be a present parent,” Meghan says in the show. “And it’s a luxury sometimes because we all have to work. We all have a lot of stuff to do. But when you can take a minute to just… finding the fun in those moments, it makes for a really sweet start to the weekend.”

She completes the dish with a drizzle of yogurt and delicate flower petals, adding that a well-crafted meal doesn’t have to be for a party—it can be a small, everyday practice.

Social Media Reacts to GMB’s Light-Hearted Mockery

Following the GMB segment, viewers took to social media to weigh in on the breakfast platter debate. While some found the humor in the playful jab, others defended Meghan’s approach, calling it a harmless parenting tip.

One user wrote:

“GMB making fun of Meghan Markle over a fruit platter is peak British morning TV. Absolutely hilarious!”

Another added:

“Richard Arnold’s ‘rainbow platter’ was the best thing I’ve seen on TV all morning. An unpeeled banana? Genius!”

However, others felt that the mockery was unnecessary, with one user commenting:

“Why do people get so worked up over Meghan? If she wants to make a rainbow fruit plate for her kids, who cares?”

The Bigger Picture: Meghan’s Netflix Series and Its Reception

The With Love, Meghan series is part of the Sussexes’ high-stakes Netflix deal, with eight half-hour episodes that offer a glimpse into Meghan’s personal and lifestyle choices. The show is being viewed as a critical moment in their ongoing partnership with Netflix, especially after the couple’s previous content—including the explosive Harry & Meghan docuseries—drew both massive viewership and controversy.

Towards the end of the series, Meghan reflects on what she describes as a “new chapter”, hinting at her desire to move forward after the high-profile fallout with the Royal Family.

“I just want to raise a glass to you guys. This feels like a new chapter that I’m so excited that I’m able to share, and I’ve been able to learn from all of you,” she tells her guests, including Prince Harry and her mother, Doria Ragland.

The Duchess also speaks about healing and personal growth, referencing the Japanese art of Kintsugi, which embraces the beauty of broken things being repaired. She relates this concept to her own experiences, suggesting that setbacks and challenges can lead to greater strength and beauty.

Final Thoughts

While With Love, Meghan aims to share an intimate, lifestyle-focused look into the Duchess’ world, its reception has been mixed, with some appreciating the wholesome and simple nature of her content, while others question its depth and relevance.

GMB’s playful roast of the rainbow platter is just one example of how public opinion on Meghan remains sharply divided—with some seeing her as a source of inspiration, while others view her endeavors with skepticism and humor.

Regardless of where people stand, one thing is certain: Meghan’s latest project has people talking, and whether it’s about fruit platters or deeper personal reflections, the Duchess of Sussex continues to make headlines.
