Dan Edgar, star of *Dancing on Ice*, has recently addressed the possibility of encountering his ex-girlfriend, Kate Ferdinand, during his time on the ITV skating show. 

The two reality stars, who once starred together on *The Only Way Is Essex* (TOWIE), ended their relationship years ago amidst rumors of infidelity. 

However, with Kate expected to visit the *Dancing on Ice* studio to support her brother-in-law, Anton Ferdinand, 

who is competing on the show, the ex-couple might cross paths again.

Dan and Kate’s relationship became a talking point in the media, especially when allegations of cheating surfaced.

In particular, Dan was accused of kissing fellow TOWIE cast member Chloe Lewis while he was still in a relationship with Kate. 

At the time, Dan denied the accusations, stating that he and Kate had already broken up before the kiss occurred. Despite the drama surrounding their split, Dan has now spoken out about his feelings and the years that have passed since their breakup.

Ahead of his *Dancing on Ice* debut, Dan, 34, opened up in an interview with *The Sun*, expressing that he doesn’t harbor any animosity toward Kate. He explained, “It wasn’t overly bad, but we haven’t spoken since.” Reflecting on his past mistakes, Dan admitted, “I’ve made some stupid mistakes in the past but we weren’t together at the time I kissed Chloe. I wasn’t emotionally mature enough back then to deal with a relationship of that longevity. It was young love.” 

Dan acknowledged that, although their relationship was significant, it had its ups and downs. He revealed that their two-year romance, filled with both love and conflict, felt more like a long-term commitment. “It was like being married for 30 years, we were just annoying each other,” he said. He also admitted that both he and Kate had grown and evolved over time, leading them down separate paths. “Our lives have gone in completely different directions now,” he shared, hinting that both of them have moved on and found their own paths in life.

As for Kate’s role in his life today, Dan reflected on the fact that she had been supportive after his *Dancing on Ice* announcement. “Kate sent a really lovely message to my mum after I appeared on the ITV show,” Dan revealed, showing that there’s still mutual respect between the two despite the years of separation.

Now, Dan is happily dating his *TOWIE* co-star, Ella Rae Wise, and has spoken fondly of their connection. The two have recently been spotted together while filming the show, with Dan admitting there is “real chemistry” between them. However, Dan was careful to keep things grounded, stating that their relationship is still in its early stages. “We are two of the only single people on the show, and it has just naturally happened out here,” he explained. “It is early… it isn’t anything deep.” Dan also acknowledged that they’ve had some issues in the past but have since reconciled, strengthening their friendship before taking things further.

While some fans have speculated that Dan might have “commitment issues” based on his cautious approach to relationships, he remains clear about his intentions. “I’m seeing how things go,” he said, emphasizing that he’s taking his time to ensure that any relationship he enters into is the right one.
