TV chef Gino D’Acampo is facing fresh allegations as reports emerge that he inappropriately kissed the wife of a well-known international footballer during a charity event. 

The shocking incident, which allegedly took place in 2012, is the latest claim to surface as the former This Morning star deals with mounting accusations of inappropriate behavior.

According to witnesses, D’Acampo was seen walking through the crowded venue before approaching the unnamed woman, grabbing her face, and kissing her on the lips. 

The act left both the woman and her husband visibly stunned, with audience members reacting with gasps of shock.

Audience Left Stunned by Gino’s Actions

Those in attendance recalled how D’Acampo appeared to boast about the kiss in front of the audience. According to MailOnline, he allegedly declared:

“You know why I did that, ladies and gentlemen? Because I f**ing can.”*

Following the remark, he reportedly turned to the woman’s husband and said:

“You want to f**ing kill me right now, don’t you?”*

An eyewitness described the scene as deeply uncomfortable, adding that while some in the audience laughed nervously at the time, others were left unsettled.

“At the time, it was really uncomfortable, but the audience seemed to mostly laugh as they didn’t know how else to react,” one attendee recalled.

In retrospect, some witnesses say they are now viewing the incident in a different light, especially in light of the recent allegations against D’Acampo.

“Looking back from the perspective of 2025, it’s hard to believe he really did that,” another source added.

Why the Allegations Are Surfacing Now

The claims have surfaced amid a growing number of allegations from individuals accusing D’Acampo of inappropriate behavior. Many of these accusations describe incidents that occurred over the course of his television career, which skyrocketed in the early 2010s.

This new accusation comes as D’Acampo faces increasing backlash following an ITV News investigation, in which over 40 individuals came forward to accuse him of inappropriate conduct. The allegations range from making crude remarks to intimidating behavior, leading ITV to sever all ties with him.

Earlier this month, the network pulled several of his shows, including Family Fortunes and Gino’s Italy: Secrets of the South. His long-time collaborator, Gordon Ramsay, has also reportedly distanced himself from him, with sources claiming Ramsay “refuses to be cancelled” alongside D’Acampo.

Gino D’Acampo’s Response to the Allegations

D’Acampo has firmly denied all allegations against him, maintaining that he has never acted inappropriately or intended to cause distress. In a statement, he expressed his dismay over the accusations, saying:

“I have been told by ITN news that allegations have been made about me acting inappropriately, some dating back over ten years ago. I have never been made aware of these matters previously, and the allegations are firmly denied.”

He continued:

“I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognize the version of events being put to me.”

D’Acampo also emphasized that throughout his extensive career—spanning 80 productions and over 1,500 colleagues—he had never faced complaints of this nature until now.

“Not only have these allegations never been raised with me before, but I have also been repeatedly supported by executives at the highest level and was commissioned on prime-time programmes during the period in which it is now suggested I was acting inappropriately,” he stated.

With ITV cutting ties and more allegations surfacing, the fallout for D’Acampo appears to be growing. While he continues to maintain his innocence, the accusations have cast a shadow over his once-thriving television career.
