Gordon Ramsay has reportedly severed ties with fellow celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo after raising concerns about his alleged inappropriate behavior.

The once-close friends, who co-starred on Gordon, Gino & Fred’s Road Trip, are said to have fallen out two years ago due to Ramsay’s unease over D’Acampo’s conduct.

D’Acampo, 48, has been accused of engaging in sexually inappropriate and “distressing” behavior on various TV sets over the past 12 years. 

While he firmly denies the allegations, reports suggest that Ramsay found his actions unacceptable and decided to distance himself from the Italian chef.

Ramsay and D’Acampo’s Friendship Falls Apart

According to sources, Ramsay was deeply disturbed by what he witnessed and felt compelled to speak up. 

An insider told MailOnline that Ramsay, who is married to Tana Ramsay and has three daughters, found D’Acampo’s behavior “disgusting” and wanted him to change.

“Gordon was horrified with what had gone on and felt it was time to step in and stop it,” the source revealed. “He has three daughters and a wife, Tana, who he absolutely adores and felt it was disgusting.”

However, Ramsay’s intervention reportedly caused tension between the two chefs, leading to a fractured relationship. The source added, “He wanted to change those ways, but then it led to difficulties between them. Gordon found there was a lot of unacceptable behavior going on, he saw things he didn’t think were okay, so he spoke up. That was that, friendship over.”

D’Acampo Faces Serious Allegations

D’Acampo is currently facing multiple allegations of inappropriate conduct on TV sets. An ITV News investigation recently uncovered accusations from various individuals, describing his behavior as “horrendous.” Despite the serious claims, the Italian chef has denied all allegations, calling them “deeply upsetting.”

One of the most disturbing accusations dates back to 2011, when D’Acampo allegedly made an explicit remark to a female colleague. He is said to have told her he would “like to turn me over and f*** me up the a*** against the kitchen counter.”

Another woman accused D’Acampo of inappropriate behavior during a location shoot, claiming that he answered the door in his boxers and made comments about his genitalia.

Allegations Involving Holly Willoughby

More recently, it was reported that D’Acampo made crude comments about This Morning star Holly Willoughby. A woman alleged that he engaged in a conversation about whether he would prefer to sleep with Willoughby or her close friend, Celebrity Juice co-star Fearne Cotton.

According to The Sun, D’Acampo said, “If I could put the face of one on the body of the other, then maybe, but I’d probably choose Holly because I’d have more fun with her.”

The woman, who described his comments as “crude and vile,” claimed she was so disgusted by his remarks that she warned ITV about his behavior back in 2018. However, she alleged that the network dismissed her concerns.

ITV and Ramsay Distance Themselves

D’Acampo’s behavior has caused growing controversy, leading to changes in his professional relationships. Ramsay, who had worked with D’Acampo and Fred Sirieix on their popular travel series, reportedly stopped communicating with him after becoming uncomfortable with his conduct.

Although Gordon, Gino & Fred’s Road Trip was a hit with audiences, D’Acampo announced in 2023 that he was leaving the show. Following his departure, he teamed up with Sirieix for a new travel series, Gino & Fred: Emission Impossible, which took them on an eco-friendly adventure across Austria and Croatia.

However, amid the ongoing scandal, ITV recently pulled some of D’Acampo’s shows from its schedule, while other broadcasters have continued to air his content.

D’Acampo Denies Allegations

Despite the serious nature of the accusations, D’Acampo has strongly denied any wrongdoing. In response to the claims, he stated, “I have never been made aware of these matters previously, and the allegations are firmly denied. I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognize the version of events being put to me.”

As the allegations continue to unfold, it remains to be seen how the scandal will impact D’Acampo’s career in the long run. Meanwhile, Ramsay’s decision to cut ties with his former co-star signals a clear stance against behavior he finds unacceptable.
