Molly-Mae Hague, 25, recently opened up about spending a weekend with her daughter, Bambi, in a new YouTube vlog,
but revealed that her little one’s “mental” behavior was weighing on her mind.
Molly-Mae, who shares Bambi with her ex Tommy Fury, 25, has always been candid about her journey through motherhood.
The couple met on *Love Island* in 2019, moved in together, and welcomed their daughter in January 2023.
However, after announcing their split in August 2024, it seemed they rekindled their romance during the holiday season.
In her vlog, Molly-Mae shared that she had a lovely weekend with Bambi, as well as her close friend Tayla Blue and Tayla’s family.
“Jack, Tayla, and Storie just left, they’ve been here all weekend. We had a really gorgeous weekend with the girls… although, Bambi was in her H-I-T-T-I-N-G era,” Molly-Mae said with a hint of concern. She elaborated that her daughter had been lashing out, particularly with her grandmother and a family friend’s daughter, Storie. “She was in her hitting era again,” Molly-Mae added. “The two people she does it with – it’s so weird – she does it with Storie, and she does it with my mum. And she doesn’t do it with anybody else, and why, we aren’t sure.”
Despite the challenging behavior, Molly-Mae expressed a positive mindset, stating, “But I’m not going to focus on it too much because we’re being positive.” However, she admitted that it was challenging to maintain composure, especially since Bambi’s hitting behavior seemed to be triggered when Molly-Mae and her family members were not paying attention. “We had a lovely weekend, besides Bambi needing to be watched at literally every single entire moment because the minute we took our eye off her for a second, prime opportunity for her to just go and just [mimes hitting],” she said, making light of the situation despite the difficulty it presented.
Molly-Mae’s reflections on Bambi’s behavior weren’t new, as she had previously shared similar concerns in December. The influencer revealed how Bambi had started displaying aggressive behavior, including hitting and grabbing her mother’s face in a way that left marks. At the time, Molly-Mae admitted, “She has started this new – I don’t know if it’s like a terrible twos thing because she’s turning two in January. But she’s been a little bit hitty and smacky, and she keeps doing this thing like if I’m in front of her, she goes for my face and grabs my face really hard. Yesterday, she fully left a nail mark in my face from where she was grabbing me.”
In this candid moment, Molly-Mae revealed how unsettling the behavior was, questioning where her daughter could have learned such actions. “She keeps grabbing onto my neck and squeezing so hard and digging her nails in, and she knows she’s doing it to hurt. Which is just so bizarre because you just end up thinking to yourself ‘where have you learned that behavior?’ Is that something that I’ve caused, to make you act like that?” The situation has clearly been a difficult one for Molly-Mae to navigate, but she continues to approach it with patience and understanding as she works to help her daughter move past this phase.
Despite the occasional frustrations with Bambi’s behavior, Molly-Mae expressed immense pride in her parenting journey. She has always made it a point to highlight the importance of co-parenting with Tommy, especially when it comes to raising their daughter. Reflecting on how she and Tommy are working together post-split, Molly-Mae told *Grazia*, “I’m really proud of the job Tommy and I have done so far with raising Bambi. We’ve really protected her, and she’s so young I feel like she’s not felt this happening.” Her commitment to co-parenting has been unwavering, and she emphasized the importance of shielding Bambi from the impact of their split.
Molly-Mae also recently shared her thoughts on the postpartum experience, admitting that it was not what she had initially envisioned. “I used to sit and think ‘This isn’t how I imagined it would look’. And I was confused as to why I felt like it looked one way for other people, but then one way for me,” she said. However, with time, Molly-Mae has found her footing and now embraces the joys of motherhood. “I love motherhood so much,” she expressed, highlighting how much she has grown into her role as a mom.
Although navigating motherhood has its challenges, especially with Bambi’s recent behavior, Molly-Mae remains optimistic, focusing on the positive moments she shares with her daughter and the continued love and support from her family and co-parenting partner, Tommy.
